South Australia’s premier election event focusing on women’s issues.
Time to put your voting glasses on!
As we head to a federal election on 2 July, YWCA Adelaide, in collaboration with other leading women’s groups in South Australia, is thrilled to be hosting SHE Votes 2016!
With federal candidates from across political parties attending, the format of this exciting event will consist of one candidate from each party presenting a short speech outlining their party’s policy platforms for women, before we transition to a “Speed Dating” format which will allow guests to talk directly to and hear from local candidates in small groups.
Off the back a successful SHE Votes Forum in 2014 for the State Election, this is the premier election forum focusing on women’s issues in South Australia.
You will have the unique opportunity to connect with candidates to discuss the issues you care about as women prior to the federal election.
SHE Votes 2016 is hosted by YWCA Adelaide in collaboration with a South Australian coalition of women’s groups made up of Zonta, Siroptomists International, BPW, CWA, National Council of Women SA, Women’s Community Centre SA and the National Rural Women’s Coalition.
Ticket includes drink on arrival and nibbles, with an opportunity for informal networking after the event.
When: Tuesday 31 May 2016 – 6pm – 7.30pm
