Aboriginal Women’s Leadership Program
YWCA Adelaide’s Kangaroos and Emus Aboriginal Women’s Leadership Program is a culturally sensitive program which delivers workshops and events in regional South Australia and metropolitan Adelaide which assist Aboriginal women to build leadership capacity with a focus on women, family, wellbeing, career and culture.
“They were impacted in such a profound way and told me they had NEVER had an experience like it before. Those young women have since been talking to me about equality, community, respect for Elders and self pride. Thank you. I think that morning was a life changing one.”

In 2015 University of Adelaide Arts Intern Grace Oliver-Dearman delivered a research project exploring the Benefits of Yarning Circles in this program.
