Y CONNECT – Seeking Mentors
YWCA Adelaide’s Y Connect program seeks to empower young women living with disabilities and progress their goals for employment or career development.
This 10 week mentoring and workshop program will build participants knowledge and use of their personal strengths, set goals and develop confidence, while being supported to engage in a mainstream women’s organisation. Y Connect aims to expand networks and build personal professional development of these young women.
The Y Connect program is currently looking for experienced women to make their knowledge and networks available to assist a young woman living with disability to develop her strengths and progress her work or career goals.
Previous experience or knowledge of working in disability is not essential. YWCA Adelaide welcomes expressions of interest from experienced women interested in supporting and empowering a young woman living with disability. YWCA Adelaide will provide training for ‘Mentoring Plus’ and ongoing support over the life of the match.
